ANTHONY GLENFORD SYLVESTRE

was born on the 21st day of November, 1974 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education with Honors from the University College of Belize in July of 1996. In October 2002, he obtained a Bachelors of Laws Degree (LLB) with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. In September of 2004, he obtained his Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica.
Between July of 2004 and June of 2005, he served as Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Between July 2005 and August 2007, he served as the Attorney-at-Law at the Legal Advice and Services Centre in Belize City. From January 2007 to present, he has worked as an Associate Lecturer in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Belize.
Mr. Sylvestre has served on different bodies and authorities, including the Income & Business Tax Appeals Board (October 2005 to March, 2007), the Belize Advisory Council on the GuatemalanClaim (October 2005 to December 2007), the Belize Advisory Council (2007), and the Policy and Legislative Sub-Committee of the National Aids Commission (2007).
From 2006 to present, he has served as the Standard Bearer for the People’s United Party for the Queen’s Square Constituency. He is currently the legal adviser for the party.
He joined the Law Firm of Musa and Balderamos in September of 2007.
His areas of practice include Criminal and Civil Law, Administrative Law, Real Estate, Probate, Family Law, Litigation and Debt Collection.
